Introduction


This page contains information about the type of courses that we have run in the past that have been specifically concerned with dispersion modelling, the effects of weather on dispersion and understanding the full AERMOD package.

There are currently no courses running at the moment but some are planned in the future. If you would like to be keep informed of any future courses, please register your details to receive updates.

Course content


Day one

  • Introduction to the science of dispersion
  • Overview of the software packages AERMET and AERMOD interface
  • Post processing

Day two

  • Overview of the scientific basis for AERMOD
  • Introduction to Percent View
  • Introduction to ISCST3 and RAMMET

Interactive case studies and hands-on exercises give delegates the opportunity to apply what they learn.

Lunch and refreshments are included.

What do they cost?


Each two-day course costs £750 (exclusive of VAT) per delegate.

All Met Office courses are fully certified.

Terms and conditions

The Met Office reserves the right to delay or cancel a course with a full refund. Delegate cancellations must be received in writing, in which case full refunds will be given up to 14 days before the course and 50% refund thereafter.

We are not responsible for covering airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants. Courses are offered under Met Office terms and conditions.
