TRIBAL EMISSIONS INVENTORY SYSTEM
The Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP), from the Northern Arizona University has selected 2 companies to evaulate the accuracy and usability of the new Tribal Emissions Inventory
Software Solution (TEISS).

This 3rd party testing will result in the most tested and reliable GIS-based emissions inventory system currently available.

TEISS is based on Lakes Environmental's emissions inventory and GIS technologies. TEISS will be used at hundreds of locations in the U.S.A. Some of the features include:

- Completely integrated GIS – no need to purchase additional software.100% ESRI compatible.
- Powered by a complete Geospatial Database Engine (FGDC Compliant)
- Integrated data handling with US EPA emissions estimation models including TANKS, WATER9, LANDGEM, NONROAD and others.
- Comprehensive emissions estimation calculator toolset (hundres of calculators) based on industry standard approaches including AP-42, EIIP, and NEI.
- Custom emissions estimation creation tool – design and implement alternative estimation methods.
- Reporting and Transmittal tools, including electronic NIF2.0 and NIF3.0 formats.

NEW FASTER MAP COVERAGE DATA AVAILABLE
Lakes Environmental is converting extensive land use, roads, hydrography, railroads, and other digital coverages into SVG maps. This data will become available Fall 2003 at WWW.WEBGIS.COM.

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, and is a new XML-based graphics file format. With the capability to create vector and mixed vector/raster graphics, this data-driven image format provides dynamic, interactive high-quality graphics with that can be displayed in Windows, Linux, Pocket PCs, Palms, Web browsers, and other devices.

Lakes Environmental SVG technology will allow shapefiles, LULC, DXF, and other geo-referenced vector to be reduced 10 times or more in size. It also reduces the load on webserver processing by delegating tasks to the client browser.

The most common approach to viewing and working with SVG is through a web browser. To view a sample map generated by Lakes Environmental, please visit the web page below:
