EPA ISSUES TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY FOR 2000
Data from the 2000 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) right-to-know program were made available to the public by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The data indicates that 7.10 billion pounds of toxic chemicals were released to the air, water, and land in 2000 from 23,484 facilities.
