To
complement the air dispersion modeling and risk assessment tools
developed in recent years, Lakes Environmental has also
developed utilities to facilitate the creation, maintenance and
utilization of emissions inventories. Data Miner, for example, represents a breakthrough in
the latter area. In
addition, however, those who use repositories such as the Toxic
Release Inventory (TRI), the National Toxics Inventory (NTI) and the
National Emissions Inventory (NEI) also require the capacity to
prepare data that they will contribute to them.
Lakes
Environmental programmers have developed a large number of
Emission Load Calculators for the quick and easy addition of sources
not previously included in the emissions inventories.
These tools utilize the emission factors provided by the U.S.
EPA in guidance documents such as AP-42 and FIRE (Factor Information
REtrieval system).
