What is the different between blowing from and blowing to in the wind rose?


Blowing From and Blowing To are two different conventions for describing wind direction.

  • Blowing From indicates the direction that the wind is coming from (e.g. a West wind is blowing from West to East)
  • Blowing To indicates the direction that the wind is going to (e.g. a North wind is blowing to North from South)

WRPLOT View is capable of displaying the wind rose in both formats, simply select the option that you want to use:
