The CALINE series of models was developed to estimate pollutant concentrations from motor vehicles at roadway intersections. It includes three primary models: CALINE, CAL3QHC, and CAL3QHCR. The latter allows processing of real meteorological data (up to one year) and input of vehicular emissions, traffic volume, and signalization (ETS) data. Data reflecting traffic conditions for individual hours of a week can be input into CAL3QHCR.
Lakes Environmental recently released CALRoads ViewVersion 6.5 which includes the ability to import from or export to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, the ETS data. A template spreadsheet is available in the C:\Lakes\CALRoads View\Templates folder, and it supports both Free Flow and Queue links.
Open the spreadsheet to begin entering data of interest. Blue columns are required for all links – Link ID, Type (Free Flow or Queue), Description, Hour (1-24), and Traffic Volume (vehicles per hour). Additional data is filled in based on Link Type.
To export existing ETS data, open the Patterns for ETS Data dialog and select the Export button. Each individual pattern should be exported separately.
