Beyond the usual drawing tools for adding model objects, each application contains a set of Annotation Tools which allow users to add additional objects to the main display.
CALRoads View is an air dispersion modeling package for predicting air quality impacts of pollutants near roadways. It integrates three dispersion models: CALINE4, CAL3QHC, and CAL3QHCR. The original design of the models accounted for carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) only, so Lakes Environmental implemented support for other inert gases.
The CALINE series of models was developed to estimate pollutant concentrations from motor vehicles at roadway intersections. It includes three primary models: CALINE, CAL3QHC, and CAL3QHCR. The latter allows processing of real meteorological data (up to one year) and input of vehicular emissions, traffic volume, and signalization (ETS) data. Data reflecting traffic conditions for individual hours of a week can be input into CAL3QHCR.
